My Axe

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

I’ve had it for a month or so now, but I thought I would share it with you. I finally got a new acoustic guitar, electro-acoustic to be precise. It’s a Yamaha APX-500 in Oriental Blue Sunburst.

Yamaha APX500

It’s a beauty to play, sounds a hundred times nicer than my old acoustic and has a great feel. The cutaway body is a big help as I can now actually reach the higher frets, and I’m loving the in-built tuner.

Getting a new guitar is one of the best feelings and has really given me the enthusiasm to start playing again, even encouraged me to re-string my electric and to dig up my pedal and practice amp. All I gotta do now is a find a band!

Forget Sliced Bread

Sometimes I come across something while trawling the internet that takes me by supprise. An idea so simple but so awesome has formed in the brain of a bored designer somewhere on the planet and somone equally bored has decide to create a product from that idea.

So without further ado I am proud to present…

Bacon Plasters

Yes that’s right. Plasters that look like bacon. I’m having trouble trying to think of anything else I would ever want a plaster to look like again. I wonder if somone will launch a whole range, perhaps dressings that look like gammon steak and corn plasters shaped like pork scratchings.

You can buy them from Fred Flare.com, home of useless innovation.
